8 Years After...

... the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and where are we?

Immediately after that day for a few weeks, the country was unified. There was prayer and numerous candle light vigils around the country.

Today, there is no prayer. There are no vigils. There is division and strife. Sinfulness abounds - both in the country's leadership and among the citizenry. The leadership is looking out for itself instead of the citizens who pay the bills. Those who want to defeat us are still exist - both in this country and abroad.

The fact that we are divided leaves us open to be conquered by others. The quantity of our sinfulness leaves us open to be judged by God.

So what can we do? Repent. Pray. Fast. God has shown Himself to be merciful to nations who have deserved judgment in the past - if we repent and turn back to Him.
